Serbian Orthodox church in Veliki Trnovac desecrated

Bujanovac - The Serbian Orthodox church of St. Helen (Sv. Jelena) in the village of Veliki Trnovac near Bujanovac has been desecrated on the eve of its patronal feast tomorrow.

According to Beta news agency, which quotes local Serb sources, a group of Serbs went to there today to prepare the church and the courtyard for the celebration of the patronal feast tomorrow and discovered at that time that the church was desecrated. "I found the door forced open, broken windows and chandelier, desecrated candle holders and smashed furniture and, worst of all, human feces on the floor," the source revealed.

The village of Veliki Trnovac near Bujanovac is an ethnically pure Albanian village from which the last Serbian family left in 1962. However, the Serbs came to the Orthodox church located there every year.
